First and foremost your passions are all about you, and secondly for everyone else. I am aware this statement could easily be challenged, however, it’s a scientifically proven behavior pattern that humans are first preoccupied with personal needs, and secondly filling the needs of others. So go after what you desire and not worry about anyone else’s opinions of what you are doing with your life.

“Easier said than done”, many people would say….. and it is unfortunate that people get caught up in what everyone else thinks about them and what they are doing with their lives.

If you happen to be in a space where you’re only driven by the need to impress others, get others to like, yet without that support, you feel utterly alone, might I suggest a need to reevaluate your position as a human being? Furthermore, I am not saying that validity and support are not important, what I am saying is confident and well-adjusted people don’t need (most times) those things to fill a void or find satisfaction. They find it in themselves.

However, it is important to also be open and humble and even if people’s opinions don’t define us, remember that people’s opinions do in fact matter in some instances, but how much they matter and affect us should be based in truth, sincerity and the motivation behind them. It’s how we use what is given to us that makes the most impact. Keep in mind advice, constructive criticism and encouragement are much different than judgment, manipulation, and negativity. When those negative henchmen don’t knock you down anymore, then you know you have won.

What a gift it is to be human and the captain of our own ship without the need for validation from the world around us. We are perfect how we are, where we are and what we are.

In conclusion, what you create in this world is vastly improved when you’re focused on your goals, aspiration, emotions, and interests and you do those things with love. When you are focused on respecting yourself first and enjoy the process you will be able to better impact the world around you!
